Mumia Abu-Jamal is one the many political prisoners in the United
States and is condemned to death by lethal injection for
allegedly killing a policeman in Philadelphia. The reality,
according the prosecution, is that he is condemned to die for
having been a member of the Black Panthers, for having quoted Mao
Tse-Tung in an interview, and for being a dedicated activist
against the racism and repreáion that blacks and other
minorities suffer in North America.
Mumia Abu-Jamal has become a symbol of the struggle for a true
democracy in the United States.
